History of Truckee Bagel Company
Since its inception in 1994, Truckee Bagel Company has proudly served the Truckee, Lake Tahoe, Reno, and Carson City communities for more than 30 years. From day one, our mission has been simple: bring authentic, old‑school, New York–style bagels to the Sierra Nevada region using traditional baking techniques that honor the craft.
By January 1998, we celebrated our one‑millionth bagel, followed by our two‑millionth in May 2002. As of 2012, we surpassed five million bagels served — and we’re still going strong today, baking fresh daily in our own store and offering a wide variety of flavors that locals have come to love.
Over the past twenty‑six years, Truckee Bagel Company has grown alongside the Reno community — supporting local schools, sponsoring youth sports, fueling charity events, and serving as a welcoming spot for neighbors to gather. Our commitment to community is matched only by our dedication to quality, a passion that has earned us the title of Reno’s Best Bagel for 10 consecutive years (2016–2019, no contest in 2020, and 2021–2026). We’re honored to be part of Reno’s daily routine and grateful for the loyal customers who have made us a local tradition.
